❤️ WHY WE LOVE IT ❤️
Shot a few months after the passing of French choreographer Maurice Béjart, one of the key names in the history of Dance, in 2007, this documentary written and directed by Arantxa Aguirre pays homage to his figure and legacy, analysing the vacuum he left both in the world of Art and in his own production company, Béjart Ballet Lausanne, whose members, from every corner of the world, now face an uncertain future. The film’s common thread is the launch of a new show, one year after the master’s passing, which seeks to keep the company running and which will require the effort and commitment of each and every one of the company’s members. The film was selected at festivals like Montreal, Zurich, Ghent and São Paulo, and won Best International Documentary at Amsterdam’s Cinedans 2011 and the Audience Award to the Best International Documentary at South Africa’s Encounters Festival in 2010.
