"Its a gem of movie"
"One of the groundbreaking forces of the Caribean music"
"Cinematic whirlwind"
Who is Joe Arroyo? There is no simple answer. A genius who made salsa known worldwide, a troubled soul who could feel lonely even surrounded by his troupe of musicians, a contradictory family man with plenty of lovers, a legend that made believe a whole country in its African roots. The newcomer Jhon Narvaez and ENCANTO’s Angie Cepeda star in a biopic not quite like you have seen before. Not to miss the soundtrack, including the classic song that gives the films’ title both in a heartfelt sequence and a modern version by Grammy Award Winners ChocQuibTown in the ending credits.
This biopic intends to find answers to the question: “Who was Joe Arroyo?” The Colombian musician was a genius of salsa and tropical music, but behind his fame and public image also hid a vulnerable and complex individual tormented by his inner ghosts, a drug addict, and a womanizer incapable of keeping at his side the woman he loved.
