This film is the long-awaited return to directing of Alejandro Agresti, one of the great names of recent Latin American cinema, winner of the Golden Shell at San Sebastian, and who has been called upon by Hollywood several times, such as for THE LAKE HOUSE with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. An emotional and intimate story of chimerical love, plenty of brilliant dialogues, and many moments full of magic, due to the fabulous chemistry between two veteran actors in a state of grace, Luis Rubio and Eleonora Wexler. The film is executively produced by Gastón Duprat, the director of the multi-awarded THE DISTINGUISHED CITIZEN and OFFICIAL COMPETITION. As usual in Agresti’s filmography, it includes a beautiful tribute to cinema as a dream factory, with codes that might remind the public of Linklater’s BEFORE SUNRISE trilogy.
An impossible love story that begins outside a movie theater, continues in a café and could end with the two protagonists together… if real life wasn’t much more complicated than the movies. United by their love of cinema, these two main characters decide to live the lives they dreamed of and not the lives they are destined to live. In a series of encounters, imagination triumphs over reality and everyday reality takes a back seat.
