THE SACRIFICE, the suspense film of the Colombian director Jaime Osorio Márquez, will be part of the Official Selection of Sitges 2018 Film Festival.
It is his third project, after THE SQUAD and the TV show EL LABERINTO. His first film THE SQUAD won the Mayahuel Award of Best Screenplay at 2012 Guadalajara International Film Festival.
In THE SACRIFICE, the director imagines a story in which the world is about to end. Two biologists are sent to a nature reserve to investigate the inexplicable death of every living creature in it. The park’s mysterious ranger is deeply disturbed by the unsettling visit. Only a Sacrifice can save humanity.
